Hello, Atlanta. Look out, Little Rock. We’ll see you soon, Phoenix.
These are just a few stops on PayPerPost’s Blog America Tour, a week long odyssey across the southern United States. On the wheels of our custom PayPerPost RV, the tour will cover more than 3,000 miles and 9 states. Of course, RockStartUp will be there to cover it all.
Will Ted and crew make a stop in your town? It could all depend on you. The proposed Tour Schedule is as follows:
1. Orlando, FL - Nov. 1, Noon (office send off)
2. Tampa, FL - Nov. 1, 6PM
3. Atlanta, GA - Nov. 2, 9AM
4. Tuscaloosa, AL - Nov. 3, 10AM (Alabama v. LSU)
5. Jackson/Brandon, MS - Nov. Nov. 4, 10AM
6. Little Rock/Jacksonville, AR - Nov. 4, 5PM
7. Dallas, TX - Nov. 5, Noon
8. Albuquerque, NM - Nov. 6, 7AM
9. Phoenix, AZ - Nov. 6, 5PM
10. Las Vegas, NV (Posties: Jules/Techie) - Nov. 7, 5PM
11. Las Vegas, NV (PostieCon & BlogWorld EXPO)
Now that you know where we’re planning to stop, we need you to give us some local knowledge. Comment on this post with your suggestions about where to go and what to do in each city. We’d love to meet up with as many Posties as possible. But we need to know you’re out there.
We’re still putting our plan together, so it’s a great time to influence what we will do in your town. As soon as we nail down a final tour schedule we’ll be sure to let everyone know.
We’d also like to let Posties hitch-a-ride to PostieCon, but we’re still trying to figure out the details… legal and insurance wise. However, if you’d like to jump on we want to hear from you. Send your request to britt [at] payperpost dot com. Include your name, location and a phone number. No guarantees.
See you on the road!

Hi there! I'd love to catch up with you all at the Dallas stop. One of my favorite places to go downtown is called Gator's. They have burgers and the like, which would be perfect for lunch, and at night they light up the town with live music! There is an awesome piano player who makes up hilarious parodies and brings people up on stage with him, and the bar/grill has one entire wall of slushie machines filled with your favorite concoctions. A must-stop-at place!

On your stop here in Albuquerque make sure you visit Old Town and Nob Hill. Old Town has alot of great little shops and the feel of an older Albuquerque. Nob Hill is where all the hip and cool shops, restaurants, and people are. Just walking around down there takes up your whole day!

One of the most beautiful things about Albuquerque is the Sandia Mountains at sunset. They turn a watermelon color. But just as beautiful as the mountains at sunset is being able to take the Tram to the top of the mountain and watch the sun set over the city and then to watch the lights of Albuquerque start turning on.

Looks like fun. My destination guide at Southpoint.com did this 8 years ago as we RV'd across some 20 states. Lots to see.

While in Tuscaloosa,AL, be sure to stop in to THE DOWNTOWN PUB for a couple of beers before the game, and no trip to Tuscaloosa would be complete without eating at CITY CAFE in Northport. Just ask any person on the street where it is. Its the best dang food in the world.
Oh, and Roll Tide!

The Georgia Aquarium and the NEW World of COKE are a must see, if the thrashers are in town, catch a game at Phillips and say hi (I'll be pushing the buttons on the flaming thrashers heads)

I won't be in Little Rock when you get there but, if you can get there on time, I'd recommend the Little Rock Zoo to cap the day.
It's quite a fun diversion, IMHO.

Anywhere in Atlanta is cool but I know of at least two of us that live just west of Atlanta in the Douglasville area (out I-20 on your route). That time of the day sounds like coffee and breakfast!!

I think ya'll mentioned bowling before. There is a really cool, new and trendy place called 300 in Addison (near Dallas). I hear the food and drinks are yummy too.

When you're in Dallas, you definitely need to get some Texas BBQ. It's delicious.
I'm pretty sure you know as much about Vegas as I do.

Located in Tampa's historic Ybor City the Columbia Restaurant has been serving classic Spanish food for over 100 years.
The family owned restaurant now in its fifth generation is a must visit for anyone who enjoys great Spanish cuisine including "Tapas", a style of dining featuring a variety of classic appetizers enjoyed with a glass of fine Spanish Sherry.
During September Columbia donates 5% of all guests’ lunch and dinner checks to the charitable organizations chosen by their customers. It's part of their 10th annual “Community Harvest” program.
Here's Cooking at You, Kid’s favorite charity is Lost Angels Animal Rescue of Tampa, which last year found adoption homes for 633 abandoned and injured dogs. So if you're in Ybor stop by Columbia Restaurant, enjoy great cuisine and mention Lost Angels, the dogs will love for it.

So, you're going to stop in Brandon, eh? You do realize there's NOTHING there! LOL!! Seriously, that's my hometown and, although I'm not living there anymore, when you decide WHERE you're going to stop there, I'll try to make a trip. I'm only 2 hours away in West Monroe, LA. However, Jackson is my hometown, so I'm always looking for an excuse to go! I also used to live in Dallas and I agree about the Texas barbeque! :)
