Random Thoughts on PostieCon

I am very excited to be doing this post today because I know how to use bullet points with Typepad.  I don't know how to use bullet points with Wordpress, so I can never do bullet points on my own blogs.

  1. I was very excited to see that Ashley and Dan Rua were also going to be on the same plane as Mrs. Fab and I going home, because I figured that increased the chance we would make it home safely.  What are the odds that four icons such as us would all go down in one air disaster?
  2. The one moment I will remember and cherish above all others about PostieCon is when Ted was freaking out in the men's room as he realized that the food coloring from the cake plow frosting was not coming off...
  3. Ted throws a helluva party.  The shindig at Tao was nothing short of spectacular.  Pretty girls and boys would bring us tray after tray of mouth-watering appetizers, open bar, good music...it was pretty cool.  Sure, that's how Ted lives all the time, but it was nice of him to give us a glimpse into his world.
  4. Every single Izea employee I met was very cool.  I can't remember everyone's name, so I am not going to mention anyone, except for Shaun, who was kind enough to give me an update on the Florida--South Carolina game during the party.  Seriously, either you have to pass some sort of NIce Test to work at Izea, or Ted threatened everyone to be on their best behavior.
  5. If you couldn't make it to PostieCon07, please try to make it to PostieCon08.  You won't be sorry.  Trust me.

You promised bullet points...but that's a numbered list!

Here's how to do it in WP: If you're using the visual editor, you just click the bullet point icon. If you're using the other editor, where you can see your HTML code, click the UL button where you want to start your list. Click LI at the beginning of your first list item, and click LI again at the end of your first list item. Click UL at the very end of your bulleted list.

The end result should look like this in HTML, with the brackets around each bit of code, of course:

ul
li Point 1 /li
li Point 2 /li
li Point 3 /li
/ul

I can't handle your judging.

Thanks. I think I can figure that out...

Mr. Fab, you are too funny! I totally agree with point #1. I can't stand flying either, so it was good to know we were all on the same flight -- there's no way the universe would take so many fabulous people at once, right?!?!

Glad to know you made it home safely.

I didn't know you had company on the way home. That's cool!

I'm sure everyone at Izea is a nice person, but they might have been especially nice on Saturday because they'd finally made it to the big day - Postiecon, the unveiling of Argus and of course the big party at TAO to let off some steam - all of which I'm sure was much deserved.

Chris and I spent a lot of time talking to Scooter. The rest of you might know him by that name from the boards. He's always really nice and helpful on the forums and he's even nicer in person.

Did you get any pictures of Ted freaking out trying to get the dye off? LOL

So, Izea has a 'NICE' requirement, sort of like Hooters has a 'boob' requirement... is that what you're saying?

You are so right - they were all NICE, very, very NICE - I guess the really naughty ones got left back at the office - I can't wait to meet THEM!

I can attest to the Nice factor. I was at another event (collegefest) and the folks from IZEA who were there were extremely nice.

PostieCon was awesome. I can't wait for 2008. I'm making sure my hotel is near everyone else though. I totally missed some great photo blackmai.... I mean photo opps. Yeah that what I meant.

Seriously folks it was a great time. I posted part one of the postie fab four panel on my blog and part two should go up tomorrow.

Fab: you changed my view of you with that first statement. I always thought of you was a 'funny pervert' blogger, rather than a geek blogger. Anyone who is excited about bullet points is worthy of being called a "funny perverted geek." To clarify, it's not the wanting to know how to code the bullett point that is your proof of geek, but enough excitment to tell us.

That kind of thing is why I'm sad I missed out on PostieCon. Wasn't it Colleen who said she loved being around people who "got her" for a couple days. My RL peeps humor me when I talk about blogging, ect, but I might was well be speaking another language.

Tina--That's it exactly! It is so cool being around people who speak the same language. It's like we're all from the same tribe.

Drew--Yeah, I would like to make a concentrated effort to get as many Posties as possible in the same hotel. We could have some great parties, plus the logistics would be easier.

Heather--I think you were naughty enough for everyone, quite frankly LOL

Trica--You know what? I tried to get a couple of photos of him freaking out, but he was scrubbing and moving so fast that everything came out blurry. I didn't dare ask him to pose, as he didn't seem to find it as amusing as the rest of us did :)

Ashley--I agree! In fact, I think you and I should always travel together to ensure that nothing happens to us.
